The NFL embodies the unfairness of a football game played between kids from different neighborhoods–each team plays by a different set of rules that gives one an advantage that goes undiscovered until later in the game. With NFL’s multiple offensive systems, two teams are rarely playing the same game. One system will give an unfair advantage. In fact, the NFL admitted this by outlawing a tricky formation the Patriots used last season. On a related note, the abomination is football’s “fun” surprise factor, which asks players who aren’t good at one role to perform it on certain plays because surprise is the most important thing. Not surprising: football sucks!
